So, in 2016, he and his wife Mich decided to take the leap and convert their small garage into Mando’s Wingshack, paving its way in the diverse culinary streets of Makati.

Mando’s Wingshack offers a slew of wing flavors— fusions of American, Mexican, and Asian zests— to satisfy the eclectic Filipino palate as Chef Armand considers the Philippines a ‘melting pot of cultures,’ while co-owner JP adds, “That’s what makes us different, we find creative ways on how we can invent certain flavors that work.”

The wing shack became well-known for its Filipino Pride wings, the fried version of grilled chicken inasal. Creating this unique dish was indeed challenging for the owners, but their hard work pays off as it became an instant crowd favorite.

If you’re craving for something sweet and salty, their HCP is the perfect wings for you. Its tastes come from the combination of honey, calamansi, and patis (fish sauce). Their Beer BBQ is also a must-try as it offers a sweet and smokey taste flavored with just the right amount of beer.

Chicken wings are also best enjoyed in spicy flavors, so you should check out their flaming hot Scorching Sili, whose sauce’s ingredients came fresh from Bukidnon and Baguio. This dish has a heartwarming backstory because they did not just only find their chilis, but also support local farmers.

Aside from all these savory chicken flavors, Mando’s Wingshack also serves classic wings like salted egg, G-Parm (parmesan), and soy garlic.
