Four Sisters and a Food Shop

The owners of J & R Kitchen PH are two sets of twins. They started the food shop as a way to bond during the quarantine. The sisters also used their business as a way to help out their parents financially during these trying times.

J & R Kitchen PH only offers freshly baked or steamed dishes and desserts. All their food items have just the right amount of saltiness and sweetness.

What makes them stand out among the other stores? They make their own recipes, meaning their dishes have a distinct taste.

Recipes from Grandma

The shop’s radish, pumpkin, and taro cakes were recipes passed down by the owners’ grandmother. It’s a reason these cakes are dear to the sister’s heart.

These recipes have also been with the family since the 1970s. The cakes are so good that many stores around Binondo hired their grandmother as their supplier.

According to the owners, their process of making radish cakes is different from other sellers. Besides their top-selling product, J & R Kitchen PH’s Soy Caramel Frozen Brazo is also a must-try.

They really take pride in this dessert because they are first to sell it in the Philippines. The sisters originally named it Soy Sauce Frozen Brazo but decided to change it to Soy Caramel as suggested by their aunt.
