Haosbaked & Haosbrewed: House of Delightful Baked Goods

Jenn Hao and her brother-in-law, Carl, opened their shop, with their customers’ satisfaction as their priority. Keep on reading to learn more about their new but growing home-based business, Haosbaked.

Baked Goods in the House

Jenn and her brother-in-law, Carl, opened Haosbaked in May 2020. Because of the quarantine, they had more time in their hand. They also discovered that their oven is still working, so they took it as an opportunity to learn how to bake cookies. Thanks to their mom, they had all the ingredients they need. And after just two weeks of practicing, they decided to open their home-based bakeshop.

Jenn is an architect while her brother-in-law is a medical clerk. Despite having no background in the food business and baking or cooking, the siblings-in-law were determined to sell food products.

With the support and encouragement of their family, the business partners were able to launch more products and eventually a sister brand, Haosbrewed.

Must-Try Creations

The first product in Haosbaked’s must-try is the Newport Cookie. This treat is the recipe of Jenn and Carl's aunt, which they tweaked to suit their taste and make their own. They first tasted this cookie when they were in Newport, Rhode Island, hence the name. It was the simpleness of this treat that captured their hearts.

Another Haosbaked bestseller is the Baked Gimbap. They’ve always wanted to try sushi bake, and so they attempted to make their version of the quarantine food trend but with a Korean twist. Now, it’s the shop’s most ordered product.
