Hobby Turned Business

Conching’s Gourmet introduced its delightful dishes in May 2020. It began as a passion project during the quarantine. Anna, the shop’s owner, fell in love with cooking at a young age. However, she did not have that much time to focus on her passion due to her day job.

When the pandemic hit, she took advantage of the quarantine and her free time and started experimenting with different recipes. Her lucky taste testers were her family and friends. She used their family recipes but added her unique touch to the dishes.

So Who Is Conching?

Anna named Conching’s after her grandmother, who sparked her passion for food and cooking. While her mother was the one who helped polish her kitchen skills, her grandmother taught her that dishes made from the heart create good memories. The dishes Conching’s serve are combinations of traditional recipes with modern twists.

A dish that Anna recommends you try is the Peri Peri Chicken in Southern Rice, which she has been making since her teens. Another must-try from the shop is the Baked Salmon in Lemon Caper Sauce. The dish is creamy and cheesy with a hint of tanginess from lemons and capers. It creates the perfect balance of different flavors, making it really irresistible. Moreover, the shop offers various food trays and baked goods, such as Ube-Cheese Halaya Pandesal and Paquito’s Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies.
