How It All Started

When passion hits you, beautiful things come to life. After graduating from a 4-year Culinary Arts degree in one of the well-known hospitality colleges in Manila, the owner opened Cerise to the public in 2015 to test her skills and knowledge in pastry-making. 

Honoring the most beloved woman in her life, she named her shop after her mother— “cerise” is the French term for the name “Cherry.” From simple cookies to the different kind of sweets, she built Cerise— until she had to stop for some time to work as a full-time pastry chef and executive designer.

The ‘Cherries’ on the Cake

Specializing in bespoke couture cakes and pastries, Cerise caters to different kinds of events such as weddings and birthdays. Her couture cakes are intricately made depending on the clients’ tastes, requests, and event themes. 

With the ongoing pandemic, however, all kinds of big events are either postponed or canceled. So, the owner thought of adding new offerings on the menu—pastries that people can enjoy in the comfort of their own homes. 

Aside from custom-made cakes and cupcakes, Cerise is now offering different kinds of bars such as caramel, chocolate, and lemon cheesecake bars. They also make chunky chewy cookies in different flavors, such as oatmeal raisins, peanut butter, white chocolate, cashew, triple choco, dark choco, and MORE.
