10 Dishes and Snacks Filipinos Usually Bring During Outings

One of the things we weren’t able to do this summer is going to pools and beaches. Besides swimming, eating is the activity that many look forward to during outings. It’s safe to say that no Filipino resort or beach trip is complete without certain kinds of food.

Here are 10 snacks and dishes that are always present in Filipino outings that we miss.

This is the go-to dish of many Filipino families because it’s fast and easy to make. It also doesn’t easily go bad, unlike other viands.

Nothing beats freshly grilled liempo or pork barbecue, especially after taking a dip in the pool or beach. They are also great to have as pulutan after swimming.

Do you enjoy a hefty feast? Simply prepare your hands, no spoon or fork needed and lay down a large banana leaf. Line up the rice in the middle and place different kinds of viands on the side, and there you have it, a fun boodle fight.
