CK Pastries: Ube Cheese Pandesal, Made With Love

Updated: Jul 4, 2020

Ube or purple yam is typically made into a jam or different Filipino desserts like ice cream and cakes. Recently, this Pinoy staple has grown more popular, especially when it was incorporated into one of our favorite breakfast food, pandesal. Once you get a bite of ube cheese pandesal, it would be difficult not to crave for more.

One place where you can get this fluffy, sweet, and cheesy bread is from CK Pastries.

It All Started As a QuaranTreat

It’s not long ago that Chloe Kho started her online business. Since ube pandesal was trending, she wanted to give making the famous bread a try.

Happy with the result of her project, she took a photo of the pandesal and then shared it with her family.

After she posted the photo of the trending quarantreat, she started getting messages if she’s selling them. Chloe then started her online business, CK Pastries, and before she knew it, she was sold-out every day.

Ube Pandesal, Made With Love

Chloe bakes the pastries she sells herself and does it within love. The owner of CK Pastries shared that the first time she baked pandesal, she felt fulfillment and satisfaction in her heart. The vibrant purple color of ube pandesal makes her feel happy.

She also only uses premium ingredients in her bread. Once you cut her ube pandesal in half, you’ll see how much cheese and ube there are. Also, all of her baked goods are baked fresh every day. Many customers just can't get enough of her generously filled ube cheese pandesal.

Included in her must-try products are the Cream Cheese Ube Pandesal and Ube Halaya with Cheddar Pandesal. For orders and updates, you can follow CK Pastries on Instagram @CKPastries.
